Vice Press has a bonus for early buyers of their new Star Trek: Lower Decks season five posters. The first 100 customers to place an order will receive a free mini poster designed by Matt Ferguson.
Celebrating the premiere of the fifth and final season of the animated Star Trek comedy is a set of limited-edition art posters. The posters, officially licensed by Paramount+, feature Ferguson’s key art for the season.
Continuing the tradition of parody posters inspired by Bob Peak‘s artwork for the original Star Trek films, season five’s poster pays homage to “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.” Ferguson, a dedicated Star Trek fan, has previously created his own series of Star Trek posters for Vice Press and collaborated with the Bob Peak estate to remaster the original film posters.
Matt told Geek Native,
I’m personally so excited to be able to release my Lower Decks V key art through Vice Press. Not only because I made the art, but because I enjoy the show so much. It’s a real love letter to Star Trek and a must watch for any Trek fan. The characters are all so wonderful, to watch them grow and change over the course of 5 wonderful seasons of TV has been such a pleasure. It’s sad that the show is coming to an end on Paramount+ but it’s been such a great journey over the past 5 years.
Furthermore, Vice Press has launched the original key art parody posters for seasons 1 through 5 as 27×40-inch one-sheet posters. This marks the first instance of posters in this size, showcasing updated artwork to suit the format, created by Matt Ferguson and supervised by Mike McMahan.
The new Lower Decks posters are available on the Vice Press website.
