Household is a roleplaying game set in a vast, abandoned house where each room is its own nation, inhabited by “littlings” from European folklore. Players embark on adventures during a turbulent era of war, shifting alliances, and technological advancements. The game utilizes a unique dice-rolling system where matching symbols, rather than high totals, determine success.
The TTRPG was designed by Riccardo Sirignano and Simone Formicola, who started working on it after selling Broken Compass to CMON. The Italians have bought Broken Compass back, but Household has continued development.
Now, there’s a garden-themed supplement due out called Household Volume II that’s scheduled for Backerkit.
As a result, the amount of freebies for 5-star Household RPG has grown.
There is already a Pay What You Want with a recommended tag of $1 for the Household Quickstart. That’s a generous 96 pages.
Now there’s an entirely free and 33-page An Introduction to the Garden.

Household Volume II will expand the world of the game, opening the doors to the Garden and introducing new Little Folk as well as other creatures of all shapes and sizes.
Thanks to this expansion, you will be able to visit the Fountain where the legendary Battle of Quillwaters took place, Bramble Town, where the Boggarts found refuge during their time in exile, and even the stump of the Dèndronaos Tree and the distant Shogunate of the Silver Blade in the Backyard.
On top of that, Household Volume II will continue exploring the History of the Household after the sudden dissolution of the Fragile Peace. This will allow you to play through 2 brand-new Chapters full of Historical Events and shocking revelations, and to take your Characters to even higher level
