This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Dusk Wave Arts‘ webcomic, The Glove, and to celebrate, we’re really happy to share this special anniversary showcase!
The Glove “delves into the extraordinary life of Tim, a neurodivergent kid who unexpectedly wields a magical glove. This glove isn’t just any artifact but the most powerful item in the world, coveted by evil people hoping to plunge the world into chaos!”
Together with his friends and family, they navigate a world where the stakes couldn’t be higher. The Glove is about finding strength in one’s differences, and through Tim’s journey, we hope to inspire readers to embrace their unique qualities and recognize the power that lies within them.
These nicely designed character spotlights are a great way to enjoy some of your favourite characters – or if you’re learning about The Glove for the first time, get more of a feel for it.
Another great aspect of The Glove is that Dusk Wave Arts don’t just publish the standalone webcomic – they also develop audio files so that their stories can be heard by those who cannot easily read them (a great example of EDI comics in action!).
Here’s where you can check out some of the audio from The Glove – the perfect companion when reading the webcomics themselves. I’ve already had a great time reading through and listening to some of these, and it really does add an extra dimension to the experience.
Throughout the years, The Glove has gained quite a following, and below are a few examples of featured art from the webcomic as DWA gives us a fond look back at the series. Thanks, DWA!
But… that’s not all!
Forged of Fate – a teaser of what’s coming next!
Dusk Wave Arts have also been kind enough to give us some concept art from the upcoming prequel to The Glove, entitled Forged of Fate! I’m loving the pink aurora borealis vibes about this:
According to Dusk Wave Arts’ CEO Paul Graham, Forged of Fate is about Tim’s mother and learning what autism is.
We’ve no release date yet, and this is just a little teaser right now, but watch this space as we’re going to reveal a lot more about Forged of Fate in the next couple of days!
In the meantime, you can get caught up to speed by checking out The Glove on the official Dusk Wave Arts website.
