Ever since it was announced a few ago that Attack on Titan: The Last Attack will feature a new post-credit scene, speculation has been rife.
The film, which will comprise the anime show’s final two chapters, looks set to get quite a bit of attention when it’s released in Japan on the 8th November.
Voice actor Yuki Kaji, who voices character Eren Yeager, has teased fans with some details about the new scene, and here’s what he had to say (via CBR):
A new post-credits scene has been added…the three of us [myself and the voice actors for Armin and Mikasa] were able to record it.
I can’t say anything about it yet, but I can’t believe it’s finally become an anime… I’m going to scream with all my might. The atmosphere of the scene was unique to Attack On Titan.
Hmmm, alright then. Keep your secrets! For now. BUT just for the fun of it, I did come here to add to the speculation and stir the pot a little on what the scene might be (can you blame me?). Before I do though, check out this amazing official countdown illustration!
I am living, in particular, for JUST HOW CUTE a couple Armin and Annie are in this scene – Armin is holding Annie’s hand, and she’s blushing, andmy boy Armin looks so excited and just just… just… SQUEEEEEEEE.
I also love that Hange and Levi are at the back, although did they really have to leave the face bandage on like that?! A marked absence is Sasha. I feel like potato girl deserved to be in this poster. Oh well.
LET THE SPECULATION BEGIN!
Mikasa gets married to… someone!
I’m mainly saying this to annoy the hardcore fan boys out there who seem to get incredibly butthurt in online groups about the very idea of Mikasa moving on. I’m sick of reading things like “NOOOO! IT’S BEEN PROVEN THAT MIKASA WILL LOVE EREN FOREVER AND WILL NEVER MARRY OR LOOK AT ANOTHER MAN AGAIN!” – I don’t get it. Why do they want that for her?
Eren, Mikasa and Armin all finally make it to the tree
They all get buried there. And are reunited in the afterlife, first Eren greeting Mikasa, and then both of them greeting their long-time friend, Armin. Everyone’s happy. It’s a soppy AF possibility, and maybe a bit of closure, who knows.
At the end of the post-credit scenes, someone gets thrown in the sea
They meet another (or maybe the same) big majestic sea whatsit and the whole cycle of the titans begin again! Imagine that. Okay, so this one is far less likely and it probably doesn’t line up, considering the teaser we’ve given you above – but this was one of Girdy’s ideas and it tickled me.

Or Eren Yeager’s attack titan. Or both. Something happens. Maybe Armin and Mikasa have to raise him, only he keeps going into titan form when he has tantrums. The whole thing’s a mess. Annie is going to lose her rag. How is it possible that Eren’s EVEN MORE annoying than the first time round?!
