Kismet Games have released and go some early 5/5 stars for their Rustwater Quickstart. The 40-page Pay What You Want is an OSR based on systems like The Black Hack and Black Sword Hack.
The suggested price for the Quickstart is $3.99, but you can pay what you want. I think $3.99 is good value as you get;
- The Rustwater quickstart version of the rules.

- A print pack of instructions, pregenned characters and rule references.
- A set of maps for VTT or display.
- A quickstart Rustwater adventure.
In Rustwater, Four Curses attacked and pretty much defeated humanity. We’ve gone from apex to struggling to survive. But the Curses are a thing unleashed on us, a threat from the Others.
Now, in the rust age, water is everywhere, and the relics of humanity are nothing but corroding hulks of a forgotten era.
The system is OSR, and the tone of the game isn’t happy. The result is a weird fantasy RPG set in a cursed world.
