Glasgow’s Anime Limited quips, “Wreck the halls”, as they get Godzilla Minus One into stores in time for the Christmas rush.
This Scottish company backed Toho Co’s Godzilla reboot and absolutely nailed it. The post-War story of giant lizards and brave humans went on to be a stomping global hit.
Zavvi have already emailed to say they have the Deluxe Edition. Retailers know it’s going to be a hit all over again this festive season.
The movie succeeded in feeling retro in all the good ways, and so a black and white edition was released – Godzilla Minus One Minus Color – and this new collector’s edition is the only way to get that cut into your home collection.
It’s a limited edition, and the rigid slipcase has four discs.
- Disc 1: The film on 4K UHD Blu-ray.
- Disc 2: The film on Blu-ray.
- Disc 3: GODZILLA MINUS ONE/MINUS COLOR on Blu-ray (exclusive to the Deluxe Edition!).
- Disc 4: Bonus Blu-ray packed with special features, all English subtitled.
This loaded release of Godzilla Minus One includes a 68-page booklet with director’s notes, artwork, and interviews, plus bonus features like a making-of documentary and VFX featurette. The 4K UHD version boasts Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. At the same time, the Blu-ray and black-and-white editions offer 5.1 English audio and Dolby Atmos Japanese audio with English subtitles.
Sidebar! While digging through my email for the details on Godzilla, I came across a new product announcement from Forbidden Planet Originals for this excellent Christmas jumper: Tank Godzilla It’s Christmas, which is excellent and needs a shoutout!
