Based on the 1980s anime, Catalyst Game Labs has crowdfunded a roleplaying game for Voltron. There’s a free quickstart.
Characters will be Paladins of Voltron, one of the five lions that combine to make the warrior. The campaign has been funded but runs up to December 23rd on Kickstarter.
Voltron is a popular animated franchise that has captured the imaginations of audiences for decades with its larger than life tales of teamwork, heroism, and giant robot lions. The core concept revolves around a group of pilots who command mecha lions that can combine to form Voltron, a colossal 10,000-year-old defender of the universe.
Over the years, there have been several different Voltron series, each with its own unique storylines, characters, and animation styles. Whether it’s the classic 80s series Voltron: Defender of the Universe, the reimagined Voltron Force, or the critically acclaimed Netflix series Voltron: Legendary Defender, the core themes of camaraderie, courage, and fighting for justice have remained constant. For the Voltron RPG Catalyst Game Labs have focused on the 80s version.
There’s a free quickstart on Google Drive, which weighs in at 32 pages.
