Solarian has announced the Golden Fez tabletop game awards. The Golden Fez is a heartfelt tribute to James Carpio, a beloved co-founder of Solarian, who we sadly lost this year.
- The Holy Hand Grenade Award for best new game mechanic
- The Pick Up & Play Award for easiest game to learn
- The Velvet Smooth Award for best design & production
- The Everlasting Fun Factory Award for best game published prior to 2024
- The Forge of Destiny Award for worldbuilding
- The Hack The Planet Award for most unexpected idea
- The Bucket of Blood Award for best combat rules
- The Golden Fez Game of the Year Award
Nominations are open for all tabletop roleplaying games. Judging will occur in January 2025, with awards presented at TotalCon on February 22.
