The trailer has just dropped for 28 Years Later – a film that many of us have been waiting on since literally 2007 – but many fans have spotted what they fear may be actor Cillian Murphy‘s Jim character looking… let’s say a little worse for wear.
Watching the trailer, our eyes were automatically looking out for Murphy’s character. Sadly, the only thing we caught a glimpse of that might have looked slightly familiar was… Bones McGee in the above image. Could that really be Murphy – or is it just a red herring to throw us off the scent?
The Oppenheimer star is confirmed to make his return in 28 Years Later, but according to one Sony executive, it will be “in a surprising way and in a way that grows.” Hmmm. That is beginning to stack up. Dayum. This is not how I like my regular dose of the Murphy!

It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.

What do you think – was it him?? My first instinct was that it wasn’t, and people were clutching at straws, but having found out what that exec said… I’m starting to doubt myself.
