Sileo is an 8-minute animation about AI and identity. Our main character is GEFF 325520-BD and the world only has AIs.
GEFF has a job. He fixes things.
The more GEFF fixes, the more repairs he needs.
Demeter Lorant gets a storm of credit for the short story as they wrote, directed and animated the thing. In fact, Demeter even has a Producer credit along with Gabor Sz. Nagy. The voice we can hear is Nate Goodwyn.
Demetor is based in Budapest and is interested in sci-fi and horror. Other projects, which are described on their site, include Dreamland Awaits and Through The Eyes of Lorant, one about a hardened detective tracking down his family and the other about the real life Hungarian painter and sculptor.
Sileo has done well, winning several awards, including the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation and Technology 2024 and being nominated for Best Sci-fi Short The New York Science Fiction Film Festival 2024.
