Bläckfisk Förlag begin their blurb by resharing a meme and quoting Adrian Bott.
I never thought leopards would eat MY face,’ sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party.”
It’s easy to see why it became a meme. It’s also easy to get frustrated at people who vote for the opposite of what they say they want. Bläckfisk have some experience with the battle as Blood Feud, a TTRPG which explores the dangers of toxic masculinity, is among their growing offering.
I’m not understating the frustration felt by poorly informed political choices. Whoever wrote Leopards Eat Your Face, either Lucas or Peter at Bläckfisk, explains;
I wrote this game in anger and frankly, I’m not even sure it works yet. But I’m betting you’re used to navigating broken systems. Let me know if it can be fixed.
Should they be publishing a game they’re not certain about? Well, it’s a Name Your Own Price offering from Itch.
In the collaborative storytelling game, players are both patriots trying to reform society and radicals pushing back against change. There’s a catch, of course. Not only will improvisation throw in some curveballs, but rules and dice will introduce events designed to twist the drama in unpredictable ways.
