Netflix has just dropped the trailer for its upcoming sci-fi AI robot series Cassandra, featuring AI robots which malfunction and go a bit evil – because of course they do!
The series comes from Germany, and is presented with English subtitles. It looks like a really interesting watch, and it’s clear Cassandra has some secrets up her proverbial sleeve!
According to the synopsis:
Cassandra sees all, Cassandra hears all, Cassandra is everywhere.” The synopsis reads: “The tech smart home system and its electronic home assistant—played by Lavinia Wilson —have been shut down since the 1970s. When Samira (Mina Tander) and her family move into the empty house, they’re unaware that the reactivated system is no harmless household helper. Cassandra has very specific ideas about how things should run, and she won’t tolerate any slip-ups. She combines an antiquated worldview with dark intentions… Cassandra, determined never to be abandoned again, manipulates events using the home’s resources to become part of the family.
Yep, that’s an evil AI robot, alright.
Also starring in the series are Michael Klammer, Franz Hartwig, Mary Tölle, Joshua Kantara, Elias Grünthal, and Filip Schnack.
Written and directed by Benjamin Gutsche, Cassandra is set to make its debut Netflix on 6th February!
