Steam’s Next Fest is a festival of demos, and this year, it’ll run from February 24th to March 3rd.
Toopan Games’ Multiverse Designer, a VTT, will be taking part. The demo is already available on Steam.

Today, thousands of assets are available for the 3D map-maker, meaning you can make fantasy maps, horror, steampunk, sci-fi or even go more niche like Victorian or Lovecraftian and cyberpunk.
Multiverse Designer has its own scripting language called Criteria, which automates bookkeeping and works with imported spreadsheets.
However, it’s what Toopan Games says is coming up that makes Multiverse Designer stand out.
A future version will take those thousands of assets and let the 3D VTT use procedural generation to build maps on the fly. You can refine them to your needs. In other words, DMs can spin up 3D cities with a button press.
Criteria will expand, and the final release will have five popular game systems pre-loaded into it. This scripting language is intended for users to learn if they want and write their own powerful integrations.
Last but not least is a Cutscene Editor, which lets DMs trigger cinematic effects like a dragon bursting through the castle gate or the raiders charging into the inn on cue.
The Steam page reads;
Multiverse Designer is an innovative 3D virtual tabletop and map creator, a unique toolbox to empower storytellers and create the most immersive RPG experiences. Save hours of your time creating awe-inspiring setpieces with thousands of 3D assets, effects and features thanks to its procedural generation systems and intuitive drag-and-drop UI; or customize everything to its finest detail, from texture to lights or colors. Put your players or yourself in the heros’ boots, exploring your creations with real-time fog of war and dynamic lights and shadows. You can even create epic cutscenes with animated assets, camera angles and dialogues!

The Steam specs suggest you’ll need about 90GB of space and something like a Nvidia GTX 1070, AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 or an equivalent 8GB GPU at a minimum.
