Today we’ve got a first-look of highly anticipated AppleTV+ sci-fi comedy thriller series Murderbot, starring Alexander Skarsgård.
Based on the award-winning book series The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells’, the story focuses on a conflicted robot that has to do things it really isn’t that keen on – something we can all relate to, I’m sure.
According to the official description (which sounds absolutely delightful, actually), Murderbot is:
A self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients. Played by Skarsgård, Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.

The series, produced by Paramount Television Studios, also stars Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones, and Tamara Podemski.
Murderbot was written, directed and produced by Chris and Paul Weitz, with David S. Goyer as executive producer.
What do you think of the first-look at Murderbot – have you read the series? Let me know in the comments.
