Para-Bellum Games have successfully steered and grown Conquest for six years, are today at GAMA and call it the fastest-growing wargame.
The company has also released two boxes of Yoroni models, one of which is especially clever.

The new faction, the Yoroni, is the ninth faction for both the mass combat miniature wargame “Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings” and the skirmish ruleset “Conquest: First Blood” and are inspired by Yokai. The Yoroni are different from the other eight factions as they’re exclusively Brute units.
Para-Bellum Games have made a Two Player Starter Set for Conquest with the Yoroni as one faction and the dinosaur riding W’adrhun as the other.
Rules Designer Leandros ‘Leo’ Mavrokefalos told the press;
There was one question we asked when thinking about this box. Who wouldn’t want to see THAT?! It’s the stuff children’s arguments are made of: Demon samurais versus dino-riding orcs. Who would win?”
The second box is cheaper, $/€99.99, and is a single-player offering. The “First Blood Cohort – Yoroni” is due out in April and has enough models for one player. The same box is good for both Conquest variants, with over 1,000 points worth of troops.
Founder Stavros Halkias said;
The response to the Yoroni has been amazing. The faction’s special rules and unique and versatile playstyle allowed us to form a Cohort box that effectively acts as a One Player Starter for both games and that is amazing!”
