A really interesting trailer has dropped for sci-fi thriller The Assessment, in which a couple have to go through some gruelling scenarios to decide if they can actually become parents.
The Assessment stars Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander, along with Elizabeth Olsen and Himesh Patel, and also features Minnie Driver, Indira Varma, Charlotte Ritchie, Nicholas Pinnock, Leah Harvey, and Anaya Thorley.
According to the synopsis:
Set in the near future, any prospective parents must pass an initial government test in order to prove their suitability for parenthood, then endure a seven-day live-in visit from a facilitator known as the “assessor” who will put them through the wringer in all kinds of imaginable and unimaginable situations where, at the end, they will either get a passing grade — or not.
I found the trailer intriguing, and even a little captivating, with strong visuals and just enough story to leave me wanting more.

The Assessment will be released in select US cinemas on 21st March – we’re not sure about a UK release date yet, but will keep you updated!
