This week’s North of the Border video features artist Adam crafting a massive Warhammer 40k space ork figure, which I figured some of our constant readers might be interested in. After all, I have friends who spend hours painting tiny Warhammer figures (which I admire), but what if they had a massive one instead?
I was first introduced to North of the Border by my fiancé, Murdo, and I’ve become very invested in watching this YouTuber creating ‘tiny nerdy things’ on a weekly basis (and the last video of Moo Deng vs Haggis was an absolute delight).
What I particularly love about this artist is his honesty; particularly in this video, you’ll see Adam make certain artistic decisions and then go back on them, and try out something else. As an artist myself, it’s extremely relatable! I also feel like I learn a lot with each video I watch, so that if/when I do decide to give clay a good try, I’ll know some tips and tricks.
Anyway, this is a 30-minute long video that goes into a lot of depth, and Adam also lists every single tool, material, medium and piece of filmmaking equipment he used when making this video. Check it out below:
Adam has a Patreon, which he faithfully acknowledges at the end of every video, and each time, his number of supporters grows and grows. If you’d like to support Adam in making more tiny (or even bigger) nerdy things, you can do so here.
What do you think of this massive Warhammer 40k space ork by YouTuber North of the Border? Does it make you wish you had one of your own to paint – or would you even go as far as crafting your own based on this video? Comment below.
