Today we’ve got a new teaser trailer for you in the form of body horror Together, starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco – and although it’s a teaser, there’s enough implied that it may make you shudder a bit.
Body horror is making a comeback (The Substance, The Ugly Stepsister and now this!) and I’m 100% here for it… even if that is through half-covered eyes.
In Together, Brie and Franco play a couple whose move to the countryside sparks some kind of supernatural event where things just start going… well, horribly wrong and against all laws of nature.
Already declared a hit at this year’s Sundance festival, the film “pulls off an impressive progression of body horror freak-outs as it follows a dysfunctional couple’s big move away from the city to a more isolated existence. As they lose contact with home, friends, and their sense of self beyond their troubled dynamic.”
Together “grounds their emotional turmoil within its extreme take on the horrors of codependent relationships. With this couple, things will have to get worse — like a lot worse — before they get better.”

I think, although this may be a bit of a different watch in some places, I’m going to tough it out just to watch Brie and Franco together. I’ve been a fan of Brie since Mad Men and I think the pair seem to have a good dynamic (from what I’ve seen).
And you’ll be able to watch Together when it’s released on 1st August… if you dare!
