Today we’ve got a new preview clip for Noah Hawley‘s Alien: Earth for you, and it’s the most brutal one yet – filled with xenomorph terror, just as true Alien fans like it (or, at least, just how I like it)!
Apparently, this is a clip that debuted as part of Disney’s 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, but has now made it into the public sphere – for everyone else to enjoy!
The first story gracing our screens to bring xenomorphs to Earth is set “two years before the events of the 1979 film Alien in 2010 when five corporations – Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold wield the power of nations, and proprietary advancements in technology provide the promise of a new tomorrow.“
I’m really excited about this (and not just about Timothy Olyphant); seems Weyland Yutani are being Weyland Yutani, with synthetics following orders to prioritise the xenomorph over the lives of the crew.
Watch the clip below and tell me what you think:
According to sources, the characters in Alien: Earth will find themselves caught up in the conflict between the vanguard of artificial intelligence, and the competition between developers and users. Interesting!
For anyone who needs a refresher, here’s the official synopsis:
When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.
As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors among the wreckage, they encounter mysterious predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined. With this new threat unlocked, the search crew must fight for survival and what they choose to do with this discovery could change planet Earth as they know it.
Alien: Earth will be coming to Disney+ this summer. Date still TBC.
