Conpulsion 2025, which I’ll be at, is around the corner and returns to its new home in the Pleasance next weekend.

Scotland’s oldest tabletop convention is a small affair, but despite the challenges of being a student (GEAS) hosted event with a rotating management committee is an established presence in Edinburgh’s gaming scene. Sponsors and supporters make a big difference.
On Friday, Conpulsion announced that Chaosium was supporting the event with a $500 package of products. There will be two workshops and talks from Gavin Inglis, who writes for Chaosium, too, with Roots of Horror early on Saturday.
Chaosium is celebrating turning 50 this year (if you’re brave, you can hit the Wish Chaosium… button) and has its Convention Support Pack available to more organisers than just Edinburgh.
Other guests at Conpulsion 2025 include Ron Edwads (The Forge, Trollbabe), Stuart Boon (Cthulhu Britannica: Shadows Over Scotland), Andy Hepworth (D&D, Vampire, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu) and Trevin York.
Tanya Roberts Art, Ancient Robot Games and Handiwork Games will be trading along with The Corner Crafts and Ditzy Little Dice.
