We’ll get a new Dark Conspiracy TTRPG in 2026 after Mongoose Publishing bought all the rights to the game about ancient and alien horror.
Mongoose has plenty of old Dark Conspiracy content on their site today. The blurb reads;
When an ancient, brooding evil is released from its dimensional prison, humankind’s worst nightmares come to life. What is the link between this sinister horror and the mysterious holes in the ozone layer, the rise of empathically aware humans, and the alien visitors from another star system?
The first edition is set in the near future when we live in Metroplexes ruled by gangs and corporate powers. The countryside is all but empty, and the people there are suspicious of outsiders.
A sinister conspiracy threatens all of us, and an alien breaks free from its dimensional prison to bring nightmares to us all.
On BlueSky, Andy O’Hara welcomed the news with a note of caution, saying;
Looking forward to seeing what you do with it! I hope you’ll find a way to make it a bit less dependent on guns against everything, as that always made it hard to translate to settings outside the US.
Also, on BlueSky, others joked that Mongoose would have to work hard to make some of the game’s conspiracies feel like fiction.
