Claudia Christian, of Babylon 5 fame, and Nightfall have collaborated before, notably on Musketeers vs. Cthulhu. It’s happening again, except this time, players work for Cardinal Richelieu.
This adventure, written by ENnie-nominated Bill Heron and utilising Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu rules, has easily met its Kickstarter target. The campaign runs until July 3rd, and you can find out more via the pitch page.
You do need Call of Cthulhu rules to play, but you can get those free through the quickstart, and you don’t need Musketeers Vs. Cthulhu. If you do have MvC, now you can play it again, but differently.
In this gam,e you could create your own French spy or play as Rochefort, Milady de Winter and Bicarat.
The 110+ page book includes characters, allies, monsters, new spells and a four-part campaign. Something tells me that the adventure will be dramatic because there are also rules for 17th-century artillery.
The world of Musketeers Vs. Cthulhu was created by Claudia Christian and co-author Chris McAuley and, of course, inspired by Alexandre Dumas and H. P. Lovecraft.
Whether you choose to continue your game with the inseparable Musketeers you played in the first book or join the Cardinal’s network of spies from the new book, you will be thrust once more into eldritch plots, courtly intrigues and epic battles. The time has come once more for daring deeds against impossible foes. It is time for you to join the battle against Cthulhu in “All the Cardinal’s Men”.

Backers get the PDF of the campaign for All the Cardinal’s Men by pledging £12 or more.
The hardback version of the adventure unlocks at £25, and Nightfall are, impressively, including shipping to the UK and USA in that total. If you’re elsewhere, then the same value of that shipping cost will be deducted from your shipping total.
The hardcover and PDF combo is an option at £30 and it’s a popular one.
A Kickstarter limited edition for All the Cardinal’s Men is a £50 tier, and it comes with the PDF and the same shipping deal.
The “All for One!” tier is set at £95 and includes the limited versions of both books.
Nightfall estimates shipping of All the Cardinal’s Men this yea,r and as early as October.
