As a gamer I often have in character choices of the type of gun and ammo to use. This is true whether I’m playing a tabletop RPG secret agent or a CRPG like Fallout when I’m lucky to grape together the bits to make a pea shooter. As a result, even though I’m from Europe and we don’t have much of a gun culture (the lovely Swiss being the exception), I have a rough idea of the pecking order of ammo calibre. For example, I know the .44 chowns the 9mm.
The thing is; paper knowledge is a very different thing from seeing the effect in person. YouTube might not be a true “in person” thing but this “Big Wet Jugs” video from (the comedy channel) FPS Russia is a fun watch and a great education in bullets.
Ah, yes, apologies – there are big wet jugs in that video but they’re made of plastic and there to get shot. Did you appreciate the difference between some of guns and bullet types there?
