Many people noticed the Dead Island trailer. It’s been one of the viral success stories for computer games – along with, perhaps, DC Universe’s Fractured Future.
In particular, many people were caught by the soundtrack. The calm and sad music is a horrible juxtaposition to the bloody carnage played out in reverse in the video. Make no doubt about it; despite this haunting melody, Dead Island is a slasher.
Developer’s Deep Silver has responded to demand and have made the track available on iTunes. It’s the usual price; less than a squid for 3 minutes. I just know this instrumental will be playing for gaming tables all around the country is no time at all.
The Dead Island theme trailer is by Giles Lamb and was produced by Savalas. It features Mairi Campbell, Peter Nicholson and Guide De Groot – and, boy, don’t all those people have something to talk about it.
