Sony announced today the release of God of War Collection. It’s not a new God of War game as such but a re-tooling / re-working of both God of War and God of War II on a single blu-ray disc.
The games also make use of the trophy system which is good news for loyal PSN fans trying to catch up with Xbox Live’s gamer points but also frustrating for players who may have to tackle both games again.
God of War III is due out for the PS3 in March next year. God of War Collection should help people maintain their Kratos addiction until that big fix.
The storyline for God of War is fairly simple. Our hero Kratos is betrayed by the gods and so goes on a rampage of revenge and destruction. Wouldn’t you?
At the risk of spoilers… in God of War I we see Kratos go after Ares the god of war. In God of War II we see Kratos as the current god of war. The plot to God of War III will have to pull something out of the bag to scale up from there.
