I don’t have a status update on the legal conflict between Curse and Games Workshop. Last year Games Workshop unleashed lawyers in response to Curse using the name Warhammer Alliance and making use of domain names like warhammeralliance.com.
Curse and sites like mmo-champion.com, wowace.com and diablofans.com are currently down. This is not because of legal action taken by Games Workshop but due to hardware failure at Curse Network’s data centre.
Some sites have an emergency maintenace page with timestamps suggesting the network will be back in an hour. It looks like the latest updates are at the bottom of the page rather than the top. Curse are no longer giving an estimated return time as it is clearly taking longer than expected. However, it does look like the hardware is more or less working again.
In the mean time, Curse are keeping the conversation going via their Facebook page and Twitter.
