William A. Christensen founded indie Avatar Press in 1996. The company now looks after the likes of George R.R. Martin, Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis, Alan Moore, David Lapham, Christos Gage and many more.
Titan Books has signed a deal that will allow them to distribute Avatar’s titles in the UK. It’s expected that up to 40 new titles might become available a year through the deal. This means that Alan Moore’s highly anticipated Neonomicon will be available in the UK by late 2011. We should see George R.R. Martin’s Fevre Dream and Night of the Living Dead 2 (pictured) too.
Over at Titan Books, Published Nick Landau told press;
“We are proud and delighted to be working with a wonderful publisher like Avatar and are confident we will raise their business to new levels in the UK.”
Avatar Press’s founder and CEO, William A. Christensen added;
“The UK book market is a challenging environment to sell into. We are happy to have an institution like Titan Books to help us navigate the waters and provide long-standing relationships with the biggest booksellers. The opportunity to work together with their highly regarded distribution network will allow us to reach new readers in the UK.
