Goodman Games will swap shop credit for old d20/3E Wizards of the Coast books.
The books need to be in good condition and you’ll get 20c for every $1 the original was worth. You can then use these credits for up to %50 off Goodman Games products.
There’s more information on Goodman Games’ website. They’re calling it cash for clunkers.
It’s quite fun mulling over why they’re doing this. Goodman have plenty of d20 supplements of their own.
It could simply be that they reckon the 50% of real money people will still have to pay for their products, combined with the encouragement to spend it plus any second (third) hand sales they manage to make on the old 3E stuff will pay for the promo.
It may also be that Goodman see there are so many 3E gaming groups floating around that the latest product lines are failing to make an impact. In order to encourage groups to try new games, Goodman is encouraging them to give up 3E.
