The web is aflame with rumours that Square Enix is working on a new RPG. Square Enix is known for titles like Deus Ex and Final Fantasy.
It’s important to keep in mind these claims are reports based on rumours from a leak. We can trace the news back to Andriasang. The blog covers Japanese media, translating it into English and is therefore well read by bloggers like me looking to thrill readers with the latest news.
Andrisang say that the very popular gamer magazine Famitsu will report on the new, huge, project. They speculate that it’ll be produced by Ryutaro Ichimura and use the Unreal Engine. Their secret contact suggests the game is targeting overseas markets (ie; the west – so it may be more Dues Ex in style than Final Fantasy).
Anoop Gantayat, who wrote the original post, is no fool and urges caution.
As with the Dynasty Warriors and GT5 leaks, we’re not totally sure if the source for this is legit, so we’d suggest waiting for a more official report, hopefully later in the day.
