There’s a Video Store in the PlayStation Store where you can buy or rent movies (many in 1080p). I guess the Video Store wanted more attention because they’ve splashed out on some viral hopefuls. That’s why we have these three videos as promotions for the store and their Great Films Fill Rooms site.
Stick with me – these videos are also pretty clever.
What you don’t have here are any post-production special effects. A computer hasn’t been used to ‘cheat’.
What you have here are people hiding on the stage, triggers, wires, pyrotechnics and some clever use of 3D protection mapping. It’s all carefully timed and filmed with a steadicam. The steadicam is used because it can be moved and that movement can combine with the 3D projection mapping to really build false perspectives and mess around with spatial deformation.
I think the third one is the most impressive. What do you think?
