Wizards of the Coast will republish Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. The company will produce premium versions of the original AD&D rulebooks, with original art and content but with new cover designs.
The reprints will only be available for a short time and will be printed in limited numbers. We’re talking collectables here. Unfortunately, the reprints may only officially be available through retailers in North America.
The money raised from the sale of the new AD&D reprints will go to the Gygax Memorial Fund. Collectible editions are expected to become available on April 17th.
The 1st edition Premium Dungeon Master’s Guide will be a 240-page hardcover ($44.95), 1st edition Premium Player’s Handbook will be a 112-page hardcover ($34.95) and the 1st edition Premium Monster Manual will be a 128-page hardcover ($34.95).
