Sometimes the science aspects of this blog merge with the tech aspects of this blog. Makes sense, right? The surprise is that it doesn’t happen more often. I suspect that the science isn’t often seen as exciting enough by the marketing departments and so no cool videos are created to explain it.
Horrah, then, for HTC and their decision to explain the science. The new HTC One S actually uses ceramics in their case. This is not a plastic phone. The company blasts the metal cases with ten thousand volts (nearly lightening) causing a transformation in the properties of the materials.
My current phone is an HTC Sensation and it’s the best phone I’ve ever had. I’ve had the iPhone too. Whereas I like the HTC Sensation for its speed and power I have to admit that (until I put it in a case) it felt good to hold. I do think the actual feel of a phone makes a difference. Do you?
