The concept is simple but effective. There will be times when you need to whisk up a foe – it doesn’t matter which game you’re running; you’ll need to terrorise the players with something!
The keyword there might be “terrorise”. Although the Instant Antagonist series tries to be system neutral they do play for modern horror games.
At least; that’s the pitch. A quick scan of RPGNow/Flames Rising has The Selfish Succubus as the only match for ‘Instant Antagonist’. I imagine there will be more.
Jess Hartley is the author-brains behind Instant Antagonist: The Selfish Succubus. The sexy manipulator and keeper of secrets.
The challenge any games master faces when introducing any licentious lineup into the game is the the roleplay. It’s sometimes hard bring the Succubus in to play without being cheesy or simply embarrassing. On the other hand, if you’ve one of those players, overcompensating for something, who likes to chase anything in a short skirt then you might find this issue of the Instant Antagonist to be poetry in motion.
