HTC arranged a free fall – a skydive – to demonstrate the photographic capability of their new HTC One series. As you might expect from HTC there was a cunning twist. This wasn’t a normal skydive. This free fall was also a full on fashion shoot.
Step forward (and out of the plane) Roberta Mancino. Roberta is a professional model and also one of the world’s top skydivers. Having completed 7,000 jumps over 11 years, taking part in world record attempts and having worn plenty of fashion in her time, Roberta was a perfect choice for the stunt.
The creative agency called “Mother”, who came up with the idea, and HTC’s team also threw enough people out of the plane in order to photograph Mancino. In total, nine skydivers jumped 35 times in order to complete the shoot. You’ll see in the photographs below how they coped with tricky issues like lighting.
The hero shot was taken at 12,000ft above the ground.
