There have been some pretty impressive fan attempts to apply cartography skills to the Game of Thrones. For the most part, George R. R. Martin has given credit where credit was due but he’s also pointed out that he hadn’t released all the need-to-know facts about the world yet and so the unofficial maps of the lands of ice and fire haven’t been exactly right.
Now Bantam will be publishing a collection of poster maps for a Game of Thrones. The centerpiece of the official collection is a complete map of the known world. The lands of teh Seven Kingdoms and the lands across the Narrow Sea are shown. There’s a map that shows the movement of the Game of Thrones characters. There is a full map of Westeros, combining North and South, a Braavos city map and much more.
The maps have been drawn by professional cartographer Jonathan Roberts and are due out in October.
