Fantasy Flight games are now asking gamers to sign up for the beta test for their forthcoming Warhammer 40,000 RPG.
The game, caleld Only War, has players in the role of Imperial Guardsmen fighting for Adeptus Terra and mankind.
Fantasy Flight Games have the Only War: Core Rules Beta available at $20 at DTRPG. The download is pretty much the full version of the final product. Any gamer who buys the Only War beta also gets a $20 discount on the PDF version of the full Only War Core Rulebook when it becomes available later this year.
What’s missing from the Only War Beta edition?
The Only War beta is a complete rule set and weighs in at 256 pages. The difference between the beta download and the full rules is that the beta edition of Only War does not have the full set of art work and lacks some of the background “flavour text” that is expected to be present in the final version.
How to send Only War feedback
There are two methods that gamers and gaming groups can use to send feedback on Only War to FFG.
The first is an open forum that allows public discussion. The second is is a beta test email address [email protected] that gamers can use.
Fantasy Flight Games have said it is better to compile a single email with all the issues you’ve found rather than send an email per issue or question. Gamers have been asked to provide concise comments on issues. The main focus of the beta is around the gameplay such as missing rules or game balance.
