Red Dwarf X is on its way. This follows the one-off special, Back to Earth, that Dave was able to fund for the UK TV channel. You might wonder what happened to series 9. Doug Naylor has been on record for a while saying he wouldn’t want to make a series 9 – so we’re getting a series 10.
Actually, that makes more sense than it sounds – the speculation is that two specials might fill the gap between Series 8 and Back to Earth. As this new series picks up after Back to Earth, it should logically be series 10.
Right?
The show is expected to be broadcast on UK TV in the autumn (known as the fall elsewhere), and I imagine everyone involved would be keen to see international rights sales as well as Blu-ray.
