Zerboz are a range of 1″ tall, fully sculpted & painted figures in blind packaging designed for kids. There’s a Marvel range and a DC one.
Previously, Tree House Kids used the word “Heroics” to describe the range. Now, Heroics is a general word from the dictionary but it’s also awfully close to HeroClix. HeroClix, from WizKids, is a similar range of superhero models.
No wonder WizKids were worried about the Tree House Kids branding choice. Now, NECA, WizKid’s owner, has won a Consent Permanent Injuction against Tree House Kid’s use of the name Heroics. It won’t be used any more and the range has rebranded to Zerboz.
Justin Ziran, President of WizKids, said;
“We have invested substantial time and resources to build a world-class intellectual property portfolio that includes the HeroClix brand and its considerable goodwill. Protecting that brand is a top priority for us,”
