I subscribe to Anime on Demand. It’s a chance to watch legally streamed anime online and access shows I would never otherwise have access too.
It’s a great deal for Viz Media as I only tend to access the service when I’m staying overnight in a hotel for business travel. If they have enough subscribers then it must surely be a good business model. I wonder how many subscribers they have, though? Did you know about the service?
Today I was surprised to pick up an email from KAZE (the other partner in this service) to say that they’d cancelled my PayPal subscription. In otherwords; Anime on Demand have stopped taking my money.
So, what’s going on? There’s been no previous email nor is there a comment on Facebook. Insight comes from the @AnimeOnDemand Twitter account.
Anime on Demand have said there will be big changes and there are news around simulcasts. That sounds good. Hopefully the service isn’t changing. They also joke of burly lawyers with baseball bats. That’s less promising.
