It’s a busy time of year. This is when the madness begins. Great! GameWyrd’s good at madness. This month sees two big additions to the site – the mercenary shopping season rings and the Console Crazy wyrdness test.
Wild Arms 3 Competition!
As if a Console Crazy quiz wasn’t good enough we’ve completed all sorts of high-flying deals and wrangled a couple of copies of Sony’s new Wild Arms 3 CRPG for the Playstation 2. If you’re in the U.S.A or Canada (which means your PS2 can run these copies of the game and where export legal foo wants you to be) then you can turn your shot at Console Crazy quiz as an entry into the prize draw. You’ve got to complete the short quiz by the 25th of December to qualify for the competition.
Mercenary Shopping Season
That’s right. It’s that time of the year again!
You know – when your wallet is always empty but there’s still a ton of shopping to do, when you suspect the prices aren’t as low as the stores are claiming they are but as long as the gift you bought for your bother looks better than the one he got for you but is actually cheaper that you’ll be alright. It’s that time of the year – it’s mercenary shopping season.
Here at GameWyrd we’ve put together a bunch of store fronts designed to appeal to the gamer. Did you know that tarot bags are great for keeping dice in as well as cards? What about a Lord of the Rings t-shirt or model Legolas? We’ve got that and more inside. Oh yes, there are some religious festivals at this time of the year too maybe you can buy presents for that as well.
Shopping is divided into two rings; one for North America and one for the United Kingdom. You can also use the grey bar on the side to jump straight to a shop front that interests you. Quite a few shops in North America are happy to ship internationally – which is great if you’re after a pet Saruman all of your own.
Gettin’ All Professional Like!
Oh why not! This isn’t an update for the GameWyrd site but it’s worth a little song and dance. We’ve been selling advertising space to publishers and RPG companies at discounts for months now. When GameWyrd celebrated her 1st birthday we ran a little questionnaire and discovered that our Wyrdlings actually rather liked RPG and gamer related banners (but not the dreaded pop-ups! – which we’ve never had). Recently we’ve attracted the attention of industry power-house RPGNow and they’ve offered to help flog GameWyrd banner impressions too. If you want to get surreal and check out adverts for adverts then visit here. Are you singing? Are you dancing? *Cough* *Cough* But why not? Oh… very well, go off and enjoy some of this month’s previews instead. :)
