The Dark Eye RPG
The most consistent universe ever created for a fantasy roleplaying game, the top-selling German RPG The Dark Eye (Das Schwarze Auge) will finally be available in English in summer 2003. Created in 1984 and recently released in a brand-new fourth edition in October in Germany, more than 150 adventure modules and sourcebooks, more than 20 boxed sets, more than 50 novels, an accompanying tabletop board game and over 200 miniatures, a CCG series and three computer games (in the US: Realms of Arkania-Trilogy) have been published, making The Dark Eye an outstanding success in the gaming market.
The Dark Eye is a ‘European style’ fantasy universe set in a late medieval/early renaissance world, both realistic and fantastic, with a matching game system, which, being modular, facilitates quick play or detailed simulation alike.
