The current record asking price for a successful Kickstarter is Elite: Dangerous. Frontier Developments asked for £1,250,000 to fund that computer game. That’s just shy of $2m US.
Gas Powered Games are asking $1.1m US for the Wildman RPG.
They describe Wildman RPG as an “action RPG”. That’s a term that’s become to be used for games like Dungeon Siege and Diablo where characters rollplay their way through monsters, level up like a tabletop roleplaying character and assign abilities and scores.

[Back the Campaign]
Wildman currently has $295,000 in funding, from 5,637 backers with 24 days to go. The smallest pledge is $20 but that gets you a digital copy of the game.
There are currently 2 backers for the $10,000 or more level and that’s a reward that gives you an “Executive Producer” credit in the game. Remember that the next time someone tries to pitch you a TV show, movie or game by mentioning executive producers.
Kickstarter project teams always stay positive; they have to and projects can enjoy an incredible last minute surge (such as the Pathfinder MMORPGs and Godus) but Chris Taylor, founder, had this to say;
“The outpouring of support this past few days has been unlike anything I could have imagined. I can’t thank everyone enough, and can only hope that one day I will return the favor to each and every person who reached out to help,”
Are you tempted to back the Wildman?
