Hopefully I’m not alone in that I tend to view Kickstarter projects with an eye for whether I’d like the final product or not. When I back a game I do so because I think I might want to play it. I just backed these Fudge dice because I needed some.
When I watched this pitch for soapstone drinking d6 my first thought was that the set would make a great gift. I say that despite being a brandy drinker who likes his drink cool but free of ice and water.
If it’s not clear – these d6 work by moving from your fridge or freezer and into a glass instead of melty ice cubes. I think they’re more commonly known as whisky stones.
One of the reasons these “bev dice” work as a gift is because they’re presented well in drawstring bags. They look and feel like traditional whisky stones and yet they’ve the edge with gamer fashion.
It’s a shame the shipping outside the US is so expensive but I suppose we’re talking about flying stones around the world.
