Stuffer Shack is a role playing games source site. It accepts articles, as a store and runs contests. Every year they run SOTY. That’s Site of The Year from among RPG sites.
Every day this week they’re asking gamers to pick a site and vote for it. On Thursday Geek Native will be up. It’ll be excellent if you can vote for this little blog. Victory means prizes that can be returned to the community through competitions.
Although it would be cool if you did vote Geek Native it makes sense that there’s some logic to your vote. What I want to recognise are sites that contribute to the gaming industry, I want focus but I also want to see sites that help grow the industry by covering a wider range of topics.
Of the four sites listed today G*M*S Magazine (established 2010) and Shortymonster (established 2012) come to mind. Why? I’ve seen both in the local community. G*M*S runs a Paper.li for RPG and Shorty is active on Reddit. Both have included Geek Native content in the past. The other sites may be pretty good too but they’ve not popped up to my radar, not been part of my community. The great thing about the award is that I now have this year to explore all the short listed communities.
At the bottom of the nomination page you’ll find the micropoll widget. It’s pretty easy to select either G*M*S or Shortymonster and cast your vote. Remember to check back on Thursday to vote for Geek Native and help grow this community.
