Space: 1889 dates back to 1988 when it was published by Game Designers Workshop. It’s a steampunk RPG set in a world that might have been created by Jules Verne or H.G. Wells. Right now – the Germans have it.

Uhrwek Verlag (Clockwork Publishing) is one of the larger German games publishers and have teamed up with Chronicle City. Based in the United Kingdom and run by Angus Abranson, Chronicle City facilities RPG publishing and distribution through useful assets such as warehouses in both the UK and the US.
The Kickstarter for Space 1889 has just launched. I watched the first pledge come in; £75. There are 38 days to go and a target of £15,000 to reach. A pledge of £15 (~$23US) gets you the digital rulebook and £35 (~$53) gets you the hardcopy. Despite being costed in Pounds; you need to add £5 shipping for within the UK or Europe, US shipping is free and everywhere else has a £15 tariff.
