The Edward Snowden story as a board game? The Gary McKinnon as a board game? Not quite. Throw in a touch of the A-Team or Tango and Cash and we’re getting closer.
Details of The Oleg Story board game from Latest Pursuit appeared on BoardGame Geek at the start of the month with the promise of a Kickstarter. Here’s the teaser video.
The game will support between 2 to 6 players, each with their own attack, defence and speciality cards as appropriate which should ensure lots of variety.
The sculpting work on the miniatures is pretty impressive. No meeples here. I’m led to believe that the highest backing tier for The Oleg Story Kickstarter will give a limited number of backers the chance to become a miniature for the board game (or perhaps an add-on). If you want; a “Mini Me” of your very own.
The company behind the project is Latest Pursuit, a studio based in London and born just this year. On their Facebook page they note;
Our mission is to develop a thrilling and an intriguing games that amplifies the user experience and still maintain our main duty of delivering entertainment.
