I’m an HTC user and really enjoy my HTC One. I do worry about the company though; it’s not doing well. At lest the Taiwanese brand recognises the problem. It’s the marketing. Apple and Samsung are kicking butt despite HTC making some great phones.
So, they’ve hired Robert Downey Junior as their “face” for two years. I bet that was a sweet deal. They’ll now try and reach out to techie influencers like Geek Native’s readers. I’ve a press release from them that details “Change” their new marketing strategy. They talka bout Google+, Twitter and Facebook. They don’t talk about Vine and that’s kinda strange because they also sent me a whole bunch of Vines.
Vine, the child of Twitter, is a video sharing platform where users create 6 second long videos. It’s surprisingly fun when you give it a go and I’m a fan of following the Game of Throne actors who contribute to it frequently.
Rather than share each video by itself – here’s a video playlist.
Odd to see a pre-roll credits screen that’s longer than the ad itself. I guess that’s part of the charm of Vine. It’s simple idea but effect; unique interpretations of the HTC acronym.
I think we might see something from Hipster Troll Cleaners too based on some of the still images I have.
