It’s taken me a while to get around to watching the Kickstarter pitch for Season 3 of Adventures of the League of S.T.E.A.M. I’m glad I’ve watched it now but the campaign is in the final week.
I’m glad I watched the pitch video because the quality speaks for itself. I really enjoyed some of the early League of S.T.E.A.M. stuff but some of the more recent videos tipsters have sent this way didn’t quite hit the spot. This pitch video reminds of why I started to follow the adventures of the League of S.T.E.A.M. in the first place. It’s well made, oozes steampunk craftsmanship and does silly without overdoing it.
It’s also worth scrolling through all the goodies you can get as a backer. There are artists aplenty in the League of S.T.E.A.M. and therefore some pretty compelling, and rather exclusive, swag bag. It looks like the Kickstarter added new but limited pledge levels after the start so there are still some good deals to be had.
That said; it looks like the campaign is struggling to land big pledges. None of the biggest 5 pledge levels have any backers at all – although, below that, there are 3 people promising a cool $500 to the project.
As it stands they’ve only raised $17,000 or so of the $25,000 they need. Can they close the difference in a week? Yes, easily, I’ve seen the last week alone make almost 90% of a Kickstarter request before. Even without a last week surge, Kicktraq suggests a good week will carry them over the line.
