Robins on the Road is an Indiegogo campaign to support three Aussie cosplayers in a tour of the States. I suppose the best reason to support the campaign is to help three young, talented, geeks on a journey of a lifetime. That said; look at the perks. There are lots of small options that are delightful.
For $4 you’ll get snapchat photos from the ladies. I might have to install snapchat. Other options get you access to lots of digital and even paper media. For $50 you get to party with them; joining with a photoshoot in LA. Okay, that’s no good to those of us in Scotland but if you’re LA based it is a way to support a crowdfunding campaign with a reward that’s normally reserved for many-hundred or even thousands dollar pledge levels.
I’m not as up to date on Indiegogo as I am on Kickstarter. On the Kickstarter you pick on pledge level and stick to it. You might then get a chance to add things. It looks like Robins on the Road is set up their Indiegogo pledge levels in such a way that you’d want to pick and mix different options.
It’s also fair to say that the goal of $10,000 looks out of reach. However, this is a flexible funding campaign and so every dollar you do pledge will go to the project whether it makes $10,000 or not. That’s why I’m backing it. I want to help Mellisa, Varia and Straw and I know I will be able to help.
