The “evil clown” is fairly established villain. There’s plenty to pick from.
Perhaps Batman’s “The Joker” is the most famous but there’s Pennywise from Stephen King’s IT.
Supernatural, the TV show, also had a clown called Plucky Pennywhistle who once terrorised Sam and the same show had a Rakshasa as an evil clown that tricked it’s way into homes.
In Final Fantasy VI there was Kefta Palazzo, the main baddie, who dressed as a jester.
Todd McFarlane’s Spawn has the clown-faced demon enemy called Violater and in League of Legends there’s the playable character “Shaco, The Demon Jester”.
Digimon fans will remind us of the mega-level Digimon called Piedmon who also looks like a clown.
